Walk Along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail 

Pittsburgh is known for its three rivers and there’s no better way to celebrate the city and have fun outdoors than by walking along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail. This 24-mile trail spans through different neighborhoods in the city, while giving you riverfront views.

Bring your bike or walk by foot as you take in the scenery. AllTrails lists routes for specific areas of the trail. You can get to different parts of the trail by bus or by car. 

Pittsburgh Zoo

Spend the Day at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium 

If you love animals, you’re going to enjoy hanging out with the creatures at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium. While some parts of the zoo are indoors, much of it is outdoors and the zoo is home to more than 4,000 creatures that want to be seen. The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium takes good care of its animals and is a humane certified zoo through American Humane. You can easily get here by bus or by car.
